BAFTA calls for more TV plots about environment

The BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Art) has called for more TV plots about environment.

After analyzing programs across 40 channels, the academy found that there was more references on TV about beer, cats or cake than climate change!

BAFTA’s chairwoman Pippa Harris said: “The TV industry’s call to address climate change is clear. It’s time to write a different script.”

Television is still a very powerful medium which can change the public’s opinion. Awareness is the first step towards a greener world!

Let’s hope that at next year’s BAFTA Awards, the winner will be a show about environment 🌿🌿
