Delete your old emails and reduce your footprint

Is your inbox full of old emails that you don’t need anymore? It’s time to delete them!

A normal email has an average footprint of 4g of CO2, which accounts for the power data centres and computers spend sending, filtering and reading messages. An email with a big attachment can have a carbon footprint of 50g CO2.

Think twice before sending emails without counting as each of them involve a huge insfrastructure to take them from one computer to another. Datacentres consume a huge amount of energy and are very polluting. If not needed anymore, just delete it so no energy is spent to store it! Easy!
