Filter your water with biodegradable activated charcoal

A lot of people use water filters (like Brita filters). These come in a huge plastic jug and are not widely recyclable. Because these filters need to be changed every month, they produce a huge amount of waste! Instead, switch to a biodegradable activated piece of charcoal. You can just leave it at night in a big glass jug, and will naturally filter you water in a few hours. It lasts for 3 months, and you can reactivate it by just boiling it for 10min. After 6 months, you can just compost it. By the way, your water will taste exactly the same! Simple, cheaper and cleaner!
