Since 2016, French supermarkets are required by law to redistribute leftover food to charities.
While this is great news, there is still a lot to do in the fight against food waste. Globally, a third of all food produced is wasted every year, according to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization.
Also, at our individual level, there so much we can do to reduce our food waste. Every year, food waste amounts to 67kg/person in France, 78kg/person in Canada and 95kg/person in the United States.
There are many ways we can all fight food waste at our level! Easy!
