Israel is the first country to ban animal fur trade

Israel is the first country to ban the buying and selling of animal furs, let’s hope others will follow 🤞

Environmental protection minister Gila Gamliel announced this new regulation saying the use of skin and fur in the fashion industry was “immoral”. Until now, only a handful of cities in the US and Sao Paulo in Brazil have banned the sale of animal fur.

Exceptions will apply for scientific research, education or religious purposes. Anyone found breaking the law in Israel will face a fine of up to $22,000 or a year in prison.
