Soap bars are making a comeback

Soap bars are making a comeback 🧼

In 2019, sales have increased 3% faster than liquid soap and shower gel according to a study from Kantar Worldpanel (an international consumer panel company).

People are turning their backs on liquid soaps because they try to reduce their plastic consumption, and it works!

Brands like Lush have reported huge sales increases in the last years, and now even luxury brands are making soap bars like l’Occitane, Chanel, Tom Ford or Jo Malone.

Soap bars had a reputation of being less hygienic than liquid soap, but this has now been proved wrong by many studies.

Why is soap so efficient against Coronavirus?

The virus is a self-assembled nanoparticle in which the weakest link is the lipid (fatty) bilayer. Soap dissolves the fat membrane and the virus falls apart like a house of cards and becomes inactive.

So protect yourself against by cleaning your hands with soap, and choose soap bars to help the planet!
