SUV’s sales are growing.
Between 2010 and 2018, they went from 18% to 40% of all the car sales. There are now more than 200 million SUV’s being driven around the world.
After years of CO2 emissions reduction in the car industry, this trend is now reversed and emissions are increasing again due to SUV sales.
SUV’s are often driven in cities, where a small car would be much more practical for traffic, parking, etc.
We always encourage people to use public transport when possible, but we understand sometimes it is necessary to drive a car. In that case, choose a small car with lower carbon emissions, and why not try carpooling so you won’t be driving empty seats? 😉
