The EU has voted for a ban on these single-use plastics across the 28 member states

In October 2018, the European Parliament has voted for a complete ban on a range of single-use plastics.

It is expected to go into effect by 2021 across all 28 member countries.

The EU banned plastic cutlery and plates, cotton buds, straws, drink-stirrers and balloon sticks.
